Do you ever wonder how some people are able to make big change in their life?  When we look at other people we might think of big change as losing weight, changing careers, eating healthy, having a regular exercise regimen, making time for relationships or hobbies.

Truth is, while these changes may seem big, what they really are is a series of small changes that added up to a big change.  This is the big secret to making change!  If you try to make big change all at once, it’s overwhelming and therefore unsustainable.  For instance, I have a client who wanted to start eating healthier due to some health concerns.  She was a very busy person, always on the go, therefore eating what was most convenient and this had gone on for years.  She used to eat a lot healthier as a kid but somewhere along the way, life got busy and food became more convenient and less nutritious.

My client didn’t make this change overnight.  She made a decision to start making small changes that soon became habits.  She started off by increasing her water intake each day.  Next she decided to add more vegetables to everything she ate.  Third, she started reading labels at the store.  And on and on it goes.  Before she knew it, her lifestyle had changed and it didn’t ever feel like deprivation or an arduous journey.  Now she eats very well, has lots of energy, has reduced some of her medications and has lost 15-20 pounds.  She feels great and is gaining more confidence in her ability to make change every day.

Simple changes apply to everything.  Do you have big change you want to make in your life but don’t know where to start?  Set up an appointment with me today and let’s build your personal road map to change!

“Amy helped me identify ways to gradually decrease the amount of processed sugar in my diet by cutting down on high sugar foods (especially pop) and adding healthier options. I never felt deprived and now have far fewer cravings for sweets.” -Shelley

”Around 9 months ago I reached out to Amy because I felt like I was out of control. I have a stressful job as a school administrator and I was honestly living on caffeine and sugar. I was so tired! I was absolutely exhausted every day after work and I was gaining weight. Amy recommended changes in my diet. It’s not been an easy road, but I have eliminated sugar – especially candy and Diet Coke and I’ve replaced my treats with my healthier choices like greek yogurt and water! My energy is coming back and I am feeling so much more in-control of my diet, my body and my life.” -Sue

”Amy helped me implement some easy strategies that dramatically decreased my sugar intake and helped me increase my energy! The best part was I didn’t feel like I was depriving myself and I’ve been able to keep up with the changes I made over time!” -Carey
